I think I prefer Sophie. Meredith sounds a little harsh in my mind, but I don't dislike it.

I think Sophie is nicer- classic and beautiful. I don't think you can have a Lottie and a merry tbh.

Meredith! I find Sophie really overused. Although it’s not a horrible name, it just isn’t very interesting as it’s been popular for years!

Sophie's the perfect name, IMO. Simple, international, elegant, suits any age, brilliant meaning. Its only drawback is its understandable popularity.

Meredith's lovely but I prefer Sophie.

I love Eleanor but my niece is Eleanor. A close friend has just had a girl called Florence. I really like Lucy but it seems a bit of a young girls name. Madelaine is lovely but I cannot stand Maddy. Alice, Dh dislikes. But I agree that all those go well... any other suggestions?!

What about Florence, Alice, Eleanor, Madeleine or Lucy? They go nicely with Charlotte imo.

Thanks for the feedback. Older Dd is called Charlotte (nn Lottie). We would prob shorten Meredith to Merry which might be a bit samey.

Sophie is very popular. Sophia with an a is my favourite girls name. I'd use it even if every other girl in the class had the same name. Almost.
