I really detest Joshua. I love Jay but more as a middle name. George is ok but lacks imagination. How about Jake, Jonah, Jonathon, Jenson

llangennith · 20/02/2019 12:49

Not Jay

Jenniferturkington · 20/02/2019 12:32

I like all of them. Georges are everywhere so I wouldn’t use that. Joshua is lovely and there don’t seem to be many babies being called it at the moment.

Kokeshi123 · 19/02/2019 23:26

Jay is a big gender ambiguous which can get annoying for the person concerned. There are a million Georges around at the moment. Joshua is a great name.

E20mom · 19/02/2019 20:30

Definitely George

stepup123 · 19/02/2019 20:17

Joshua

Zebedee88 · 19/02/2019 20:11

Not Jay, the other 2 are lovely

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 19/02/2019 20:09

Joshua. Like George too.

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/02/2019 08:18

George

ketchupormayo · 17/02/2019 20:40

Pet hate of mine is Joshua. My votes for George

SumAndSubstance · 17/02/2019 20:16

I like Jay actually, maybe because I know a very nice boy of that name. I also like Joshua, but I’ve never been a big fan of George- it’s just such an ugly sound. Its popularity suggests most people don’t agree with me though.

Didyeeaye · 17/02/2019 18:03

Joshua is my favourite

123Flopsy · 17/02/2019 16:39

I don't like any, but would choose George if I had to. Don't like the sound of Josh or Joshua at all.

MercyBodle · 17/02/2019 12:51

George

Justbeingreal · 17/02/2019 04:11

George in my opinion. Might just be because I'm a musical fan 😏

Fetching · 17/02/2019 03:13

I don't love any of them but if I had to choose I suppose I'd go for Joshua. Jay is a bit of a nothing name and George is the name of a sweaty perv.

Shadow1234 · 17/02/2019 00:50

Joshua

DramaAlpaca · 16/02/2019 23:09

Joshua

BartonHollow · 16/02/2019 20:19

Joshua really over popular and gained a rep where I grew up but considered quite normal and underused elsewhere

Jay - usually short for, know an absolutely useless article with this name

George - had gained a following pre Prince George And is now as mundane as Jack and Harry, which is really weird because there was only one the entire 13 years I was in school and he got mocked for having an unusual old fashioned name. 10 a penny now.

Sophronia · 16/02/2019 20:14

Joshua

pilates · 16/02/2019 20:13

George

YouSetTheTone · 16/02/2019 19:56

You could choose Joshua and have Jay as a nickname?- ‘J’ / Jay for Joshua.
Agree with pp that Jay as a stand-alone name feels incomplete but as a nn it works.

BiggFactHunt · 16/02/2019 18:01

Jay always sounds like he has a full name but no one can be bothered to say it so they just say the first letter.

Joshua is nice but popular.

George is ok.

Jake?
Joel?
Joey?

Peachbubble · 16/02/2019 15:51

George

calpop · 16/02/2019 15:37

Jay - love it!

Josh and George are v common if that bothers you.
