What do you think of Renesmae? Unique? Or ridiculous and made up?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RiverTam · 15/02/2019 12:44

Reh-nez-may, surely? Grin

CarolDanvers · 15/02/2019 12:41

Ruh-Nez-May

Antonin · 15/02/2019 12:13

But how is it pronounced?

aliceandkids77 · 15/02/2019 10:08

personally don't like because sounds very made up and Twilight (I think the kids name is Renesmay). x

SemperIdem · 14/02/2019 23:01

It’s half term somewhere, isn’t it?

Didyeeaye · 14/02/2019 20:16

I agree with the Twilight comments. Its very fan girl IMO

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 14/02/2019 20:11

It's like puppies.

More couples should give their kids portmanteau names!

Kathy and Mark - baby Kark
Grace and Robbie - baby Grobbie
Sebastian and Poppy - baby Seboppy

So elegant.

WoollyMummoth · 14/02/2019 18:23

Definitely a wind up. If you want your child to be laughed at, go for it

simonisnotme · 14/02/2019 18:16

you really are joking i hope

EllenRipley · 14/02/2019 18:11

Ridiculous when it was in the book/film, even moreso on Mumsnet.

kbPOW · 14/02/2019 18:08

I think 'don't do it'

Boredboredboredboredbored · 14/02/2019 18:06

I thought It was awful in the book and still think it's awful. Hideous word (it's not a name).

redhat · 14/02/2019 17:59

Ridiculous. It doesn't even sound pretty

Needadoughnut · 14/02/2019 17:57

Is this for real?

ThisMustBeMyDream · 14/02/2019 17:55

I once had an online row with a woman. I then found out her kid was Renesmee. I think we know who came out on top of that "discussion"....

TaimaandRanyasBestFriend · 14/02/2019 17:46

Oh, god, whatever happened to Niveah or those hyphenated forenames? Now we've stooped to crap YA novels for names. Sad. No.

andantecantabile · 14/02/2019 17:44

It looks like it should be an anagram of something.

MerryMarigold · 14/02/2019 17:43

Never heard of it and zero clue how to pronounce it. Is it Ren-ays-may or Reens-may or Ren-uz-may or any advice with 'my' ending instead of 'may'. Really too many variables.

Chocolateheaven123 · 14/02/2019 17:43

It's stunning, truly stunning. Definitely use it for a baby. You'll get tons of compliments on such an exquisite name. It's just one of those rare names that take your breath away. Totally workable on a baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult, elderly person. It's absolutely perfect. Stunning.

🙄

BlueMerchant · 14/02/2019 17:43

Rene or Esmae maybe but never Renesmae.

RiverTam · 14/02/2019 17:41

it was stupid in Twilight and it's stupid in real life.

And why you'd want to name your child after a hybrid human-vampire I can't think!

JumpOrBePushed · 14/02/2019 17:39

I would think the parents were massive Twilight fans.

I think it’s an awful name as well BTW.

LoubyLou1234 · 14/02/2019 17:38

*thanks

LoubyLou1234 · 14/02/2019 17:37

I've met a couple of children with this name things to the twilight books Confused
