Names similar to Cooper or Spencer

I find boys names really difficult. I don't like anything too "unique" but all the sort of common ones I just don't love either .

Cooper , Fletcher and Spencer have came up in discussion and we both seem to like these . Any suggestions of something similar ?

Or any other suggestions of names you love that aren't so uncommon they're wierd lol

I'm in Scotland too and one of my favourite boys names is Keir, followed by Atholl. Scotland has some amazing lochs and mountains with great names. We just called our son Ben in honour of all the fab mountains. You could go for Munro if you only want to recognise the really tall ones Wink

Hmm not really liking any of the surnamey suggestions . Think it might just be a fluke that the 3 I mentioned are surnames lol.

I think we'll end up going with something different , just don't want anything that's over used .

Girls names were not this difficult 🙈 If this one had been another girl we would have a bunch to choose from lol

Why don’t you just use one of the names you like?

I'm just looking for more options. we haven't found one we LOVE. I'm only 17 weeks so this is just a list I'm making ..... We only just found out the sex a few days ago I'm not going to jump into a name lol

Why don’t you just use one of the names you like? Cooper is quite popular where I teach though.
Never met a little Adam! A few Ryan and Jacks.

I do actually really like Fletcher shortened to Fletch, think it's quite a cool name for a teen/older guy . It's my favourite of the 3 I posted about.

Thanks for the suggestions! None are really jumping out at me . I like Harris but living in Scotland I'm pretty sure it's quite popular now. I think Millar is quite cute but we know a toddler called this so wouldn't use that.

We've got ages to decide so I'll keep looking but read these suggestions out to OH and see if we like any !

It's not an obsession, we just happen to like these 3 names. 🙄 Like I said we also like Ryan, Adam and a few other more common names . I have 2 girls already both have normal "non surname" names

Ryan and Adam aren't as common with young children anymore. I love Ryan as it means 'little king' which I think is awesome.

The names will get shortened.
Make sure you are happy with any potential nn.
Fletch for example is ok, but you might not like Spence, Jens etc.

My first thought at the thread title was Mitchell, as also suggested by a pp.

Baxter means "female baker", so not ideal for a baby boy Smile

OP - Jack has been incredibly common over the last decade or so, but Adam and Ryan not so much
