We’re considering Stirling as a name for our boy when he arrives. Would love some anonymous opinions on it.

Feels odd to me but we’re only an hour from Stirling. Are you in England?
I like the names lewis and Harris but wouldn’t use either if we actually lived there 😂

Actually from those first responses it’s not as marmite as I feared.

Yes as in Stirling Moss no not as in Pounds Sterling Grin

Mimibunz, no not American but we lived there for a while and might go back for a few more years at some stage. I didn’t actually consider it an American type name but maybe it has that feel to others?

MrsMT love your shortlist

I love it.

mimibunz · 05/02/2019 19:52

Are you American? I think the child would get ridiculed unless you are rich and planning to send the child to a posh school.

HettyStThomas · 05/02/2019 19:52

I've taught a Stirling. Lovely young man. I like the name.

MrsMoastyToasty · 05/02/2019 19:51

It was on our short list. DH is a F1 fan and is also Scottish. We also considered Ross (Braun) and Murray (Walker).
