Everyone I speak to thinks I’m crazy and it’s the hormones but I have always loved noun and verb names. The surname is very common and so I’ve always wanted their forename to stand out.

I love Rocket but DH has said I am mad. Other names I love are Tiger and Canon.

Please can I have any more suggestions of noun names that won’t make my DH think I’ve lost the plot

“I like reading but Book is a bit short. How about Leaflet, ”
Leaflet has a nice Scandi vibe for a boy. Pamphlet for a girl-Pam for short?

Well op has asked for unusual names
We're hardly going to suggest Olivia and Olivia are we.

starkid · 01/02/2019 13:46

Some of the suggestions are hilarious 🤣

I think nature/animal/colour names can work to a degree, but Canon?!

MikeUniformMike · 01/02/2019 12:45

I like reading but Book is a bit short. How about Leaflet, Brochure or Compendium?

Tiger is kinda cool. Canon is awful though and Im sure one of Jamie Oliver's kids was River Rocket or something? It's ok. I quite like nature names like Aspen, Willow etc or even colours like Cyan, Blue etc

Scandaloso · 31/01/2019 23:17

I assumed it was an ecclesiastical Canon.
I'd aim higher with Bishop.

Reese Witherspoon has a son called Deacon.

Unambitious.

Scandaloso · 31/01/2019 23:15

If I heard of someone called Canon Smith I'd expect to meet an elderly and bespectacled man of the cloth, not a little kid! Grin

NC4Now · 31/01/2019 23:14

Canon the Barbarian I assume...

Or maybe Hunter?

Some nouns:
Name
Husband
Plot
Noun
Verb

The first three can be verbs as well, if you want the name to multitask.
