I knew a Wolf, he is about 20 now.

elQuintoConyo · 25/01/2019 22:21

Neptune and Rock.

Hmm
Morgan12 · 25/01/2019 22:20

These are hilarious.

I like Wild, I thought Kim and Kanye missed a trick by not naming their son that.

LittleMissCantbebothered · 25/01/2019 22:20

There is a child called Fortune at my daughters nursery!

YourEggnogIsBetterThanMine · 25/01/2019 22:19

My niece has a Buffy in her class. Apparently her name isn't actually Buffy but she's known as Buffy and Buffy is short for something else.

kazwelch · 25/01/2019 22:18

March for a boy.

Gotstuckwiththisname · 25/01/2019 22:17

Fanta???? Fanta is called Fanta in Spanish, so this is odd.
Huckleberry is unkind but not terrible.

homemadegin · 25/01/2019 22:17

Twins called Daphne and Atticus.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/01/2019 22:16

Yep mossy, the family is Spanish, not sure if that makes a difference though?

Esker · 25/01/2019 22:15

Elvis, for a girl

Scandaloso · 25/01/2019 22:13

Huckleberry is ridiculous. So clunky. But shorten it to Huck and it risks being misheard as something else entirely.

widget2015 · 25/01/2019 22:13

Brave
Wolf

Cosmoa · 25/01/2019 22:12

I met a Huckleberry once. Lovely guy! I love the name 😊

mossyroundhill · 25/01/2019 22:11

A baby called Fanta??

Scandaloso · 25/01/2019 22:11

Don't tell me Nuala is making a comeback? I bet they all come out of the womb wearing a cardigan and saying the rosary. Scowling at the world.

In Ireland calling a child Bran would be like calling them Rover. It's the dogs name, even if dogs aren't given that name anymore.

I know a kid called Moss. And a couple of old lads called Moss too.

The names that always stop me in my tracks are character names. Bilbo! Who the hell calls their kid Bilbo?!

Cuppaand2biscuits · 25/01/2019 22:07

Balthazar, and when another mum asked if she used a shortened version she said No, just Balthazar.
Mark, again not unusual but not heard before on a baby.

gentlyscented · 25/01/2019 22:05

Oh and
Dalton
Eaza

gentlyscented · 25/01/2019 22:03

Divgirl2 · 25/01/2019 21:58

Nuala is short for Fionnuala and I know two (both in their late 20s). Lovely name.

Deacon is probably the most unusual boy's name I've come across, and I met a little girl called something like Orastelle a couple of months ago.

Nameenthusiast · 25/01/2019 21:55

No way! I’m going with Loxley ;)
