This was our shortlist that we were going to spend the next few weeks whittling down. Now we need to to it in a rush. Thoughts please. We want a strong name that’s unusual without being weird.

Eliza
Nina
Ariana
Tessa
Frieda
Alma
Theodora
Isadora

Isadora June, I especially like Isadora, (thinking of the fab Isadora Duncan) not a huge fan of Nina.

starkid · 28/01/2019 15:05

Isadora June is beautiful! Congratulations Smile

PBobs · 28/01/2019 05:03

Isadora June. All the way.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 27/01/2019 23:32

Isadora June is absolutely beautiful!!!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 27/01/2019 09:11

Sorry, only just earn your update Blush

Nina Elizabeth all the way Smile

JiltedJohnsJulie · 27/01/2019 09:08

If unusual is one of your criteria, I'd rule out Eliza, Theodora and Isodora. DD goes to a very small school and she still has 3 Izzies in her friendship group,

I think Frieda stands out to me, I live that name but unfortunately we couldn't use it.

After Frieda I like Nina, I only know one and she is lovely, clever, caring and funny.

Tessa is good too with nn Tess.

Congratulations on your new DD too Thanks

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 27/01/2019 09:03

I think they're both really lovely, in different ways. Nina Elizabeth is sweet and quietly elegant, isadora June is more glam (in a lovely way).

HenweeArcher · 27/01/2019 08:53

Isadora June 😍

CreakyBlinder · 27/01/2019 08:50

Oh Nina Elizabeth is just gorgeous ❤️

Choosinganame · 27/01/2019 08:37

Definitely Isadora, such a gorgeous name and so many options for her. Love Dory

MissMoodyMoo · 27/01/2019 05:43

Does she have a name yet lol? I spent the full day yesterday trying to convince dp to change our daughters name to isadora so we could call her dory lol I just love it ❤❤ he said no so I'm hoping it's the name you've gone with and there is a little dory out there somewhere

CantRainAllTheTime · 26/01/2019 22:44

Nina Elizabeth. Congrats!

RosiePosies · 26/01/2019 22:15

I like Isadora, but it reminds me of Wizadora from the 90's.

Nina is gorgeous.

SemperIdem · 26/01/2019 21:36

Nina Elizabeth

Hohofortherobbers · 26/01/2019 21:34

I like Nina June more than Nina Elizabeth

Disfordarkchocolate · 26/01/2019 05:58

Nina Elizabeth is lovely.

FriedaTheBreeder · 26/01/2019 01:15

Yes I love the many meanings of Nina @PinkAvocado.

If we go with Isadora we expect to shorten it to Dora or Dory rather than Izzy but I appreciate that we can’t necessarily control the nicknames that may evolve.

The name meaning of Nina in Native American is ‘mighty warrior’ and in Spanish, ‘little girl’ (so google says).

Sounds perfect for your daughter!

MrsBertBibby · 26/01/2019 00:21

Nina all the way. I wanted Nina if I had a girl. Like Nina Bawden, the novelist.

Yulebealrite · 26/01/2019 00:18

Nina Elizabeth.

Else She'll definitely be called Izzy which is really common at the moment.

MissMoodyMoo · 26/01/2019 00:17

Isadora June 😍😍😍😍 I think nina is a bit meh!!

With isadora you could have Dora, Dory, issie, addy for nn or pet name

areyoubeingserviced · 26/01/2019 00:12

Nina Elizabeth
