Am I the only person who would say Eh-loice? E as in egg, to rhyme with voice. I genuinely thought that was how it was pronounced. I'm not too good with phonetics, so apologies if I've missed this pronunciation further up the thread.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 22/01/2019 22:52

El oh EASE

ninalovesdragons · 22/01/2019 22:49

Meant both because one was known was Ellie Blush

ninalovesdragons · 22/01/2019 22:49

Weirdly had three in my secondary school class. Both El-o-weez

SweetbutAPsycho · 22/01/2019 22:42

Eh-Lou-ease

BikeRunSki · 21/01/2019 22:43

Like Louise, but “Eh” first. Like The Damned song.

DramaAlpaca · 21/01/2019 22:41

I can't be bothered to try to write it out phonetically, so I'm just going to agree with everyone who said it's like the Damned song.

MorningsEleven · 21/01/2019 22:15

Like the song.

Jsmith99 · 21/01/2019 22:15

Ell-oh-eeze.

3 distinct syllables, the middle one of which is definitely ‘oh’ not ‘oo’.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 21/01/2019 22:14

El-loo-weeeeeeeeeeeeze.
Like the song. And my niece!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 21/01/2019 22:12

Like the Damned song.

ImportantWater · 21/01/2019 22:11

Sophronia · 21/01/2019 22:10

El-oh-ease

tammytoby · 21/01/2019 15:54

But it's not spelt Elooise but Eloise. I'm surprised by the Loo pronunciation.

starkid · 21/01/2019 15:11

Eh-loo-weeze

dingledangles · 21/01/2019 10:41

You've now had me saying the name out loud multiple times... My friend is called Eloise, I definitely say low more than loo, but it's only a subtle difference when the name is said quickly anyway 😂

RedDwarves · 21/01/2019 08:40

Ell-oh-eez.

ReaganSomerset · 21/01/2019 06:46

Ell-oh-eez

FlagFish · 21/01/2019 06:45

El-loo-ise. I know two girls with this name and they both pronounce it that way.

MaitlandGirl · 21/01/2019 06:40

El-oh-ease

It’s a lovely name, we’ve got a DD with that name.

mathanxiety · 21/01/2019 06:35

MikeUniformMike · 20/01/2019 19:20

MollyHuaCha · 20/01/2019 16:32
