Cassia or Cassie on bc?

We love Cassie for a girl but I can’t stand Cassandra or Cassiopoiea (just find them very fussy) and think it’s a bit much with dd4’s name (Margot). So we’re left with either Cassia on bc with nn Cassie or just Cassie. Opinions?

If she will be known as Cassie, just name her Cassie on the birth certificate. Saves so much explaining etc. I have a Harry who is Harry on the bc. Easy peasy.

How would you pronounce it? Presumably like Cassi-a? The only Cassia I’ve met was pronounced Casha so be aware that people might muddle it up but otherwise it’s a really lovely name!

Both are lovely but I'd probably but Cassia on the birth cert as it is so gorgeous, as well as being totally usable. I agree with you that Cassiopoiea is way too fussy. Imagine shouting that across the Tesco aisles.

Cassie on its own is fine, but I personally think Cassia is a beautiful name (far nicer than Cassandra) and would be a nice option for her to use later on if she chooses.
