Baby here, arrived fast and 3 weeks early. No names picked out. DH wants Wren. What do folk think?

I like either classic/ old lady or modern unusual (Persephone, Ophelia, Ada, Eden).

We haven't announced it yet and are currently giving it a try.

Just remembered I once knew a Renee, known as Ren. Might be an idea?

Im not a fan. It's used as an, often derogatory, term for women in the Navy and that's how I hear it.

Reminds me of wrench. Wren is one of those names which is beloved on mumsnet but not in the real world.

Wren is so masculine sounding and reminds me of s wrench. Also dislike the spelling (why have the R?)

Love Persephone and Ophelia though.

I came on to write what mumunderthemoon wrote, scarily pretty much word for word.
I like Wren, a lot , but love Persephone. I also think Percy isn't a bad nn.

Like I said, I like it... But when you Google it Wren Kitchens comes up, if that sort of thing bothers you (I still really like it though bit thought would point it out)

It's my surname, the only thing i'd say is she'll have a lifetime saying 'Wren, spelt like the bird' as people are writing/typing Ren.

I love it. It was a contender for DD but I had a wobble worrying about its recent surge in popularity and that it would seem faddy in the future so we used it as a middle name.

What about Cressida or its older form Cryseyde (Chris — aid).
