For a French/British baby girl... Can't decide if I like it a lot or if it sounds hideously earnest and awkward!

I LOVE it. It’s always been on my girls list even though I have a London accent sad I have two boys and a third on the way. Use it!

Growing up in France, but already made that mistake with her sister's name. I thought Elena was quite straightforward but very few Brits can pronounce it in the way we prefer, and she usually ends up being called Eleanor instead

Clemmie is sweet! People round here don't seem to go in for children's nicknames though... Our older daughter has a three-syllable name and no-one has ever tried to shorten it

It’s just beautiful but if she is growing up in UK majority of people will struggle to pronounce and shortening is inevitable. Or she will be “Clem-ence” which is not so nice! She can always correct people I guess...

I really like it but think it sounds a bit boyish if used in the UK... people might think you are saying Clement...
I think in the uk I'd go for Clementine as it's what people are more familiar with for a girl.

If you are in France a lot of the time that's not as much of an issue though...
