For a French/British baby girl... Can't decide if I like it a lot or if it sounds hideously earnest and awkward!

I like it, but I know how to pronounce it which many British people won’t.

It's pronounced Clé-mence and sounds nothing like the male name Clement!

I initially though boys names and guessed it was pronounced Clem- ents.

When I read it was a girls name
I guessed it was pronounced Clem-en-see.

As in associated with judges granting clemency. The actual meaning is fine, the association with the courts and criminals not so much.

Evaevie it’s prounounced somewhere between Clay Monce (short sound on the A) and Cle Monce.

It was on our list but too but we chose Clèmentine instead. We also live in France but the kids are half English. Had a few people say Clementyne but not many.

Very pretty. I would suggest a very obviously 'girl's' middle name just so when her name is written on a register etc in years to come it's obvious she's a girl. I imagine at first glance it could be mistaken for Clement.

I think it's lovely. I also like Celine, not just because of Celine Dion, whom I happen to like anyway, plus her name.

Very pretty but I always feel a bit sorry for people with names that have accents on them, we are not well set up to accommodate them!
