What are the ones that you ruled out because you weren't brave enough to use them? What are the names that you really like but wouldn't ever be brave enough to use in future?

Forrest

Still

There was a Digby two years above me at school. His brother, in my year, had a much more classic name.

Given I went to a standard state school, in Wales, it’s probably a bit unusual that there was a Digby, Athena, Portia, Cassian, Antigone alongside the many, many Hannah’s, Laura’s, James’ etc

Cassiopeia is also mine!! I have a really Irish surname though and it just sounds ridiculous!

Love Persephone, and Gideon and Atticus. Not necessarily crazy names but I live on a council estate area in the West Midlands.
Aurora and Briar Rose

Catkin (nn Kitty)

Glasgow - love the sound of it but I'm quite devoid of Scottish blood and place naming is a bit chav.

Digby. It's been slated on here so much it really put me off using it. Still love it though.

Also love Huxley & Humphrey but DH said no!

Noa for a girl - I absolutely love it but get really mixed reactions from people. It's definitely a marmite name!

I have loved Persephone for a very long time. I actually think I would use it if I had a little girl, it's beautiful. I love Evadne, Juno and Xanthe too

SemperIdem · 16/01/2019 20:08

Persephone.

It would be wildly outlandish to use it in Cardiff.

erja · 16/01/2019 20:05

@Cosmoa oooh, I do like Cassie on its own actually - haven't heard that since Skins!

Cassiopeia!

I am. Brave enough to use it.. But I don't want it to be shortened to Cassie. Not that there's anything wrong with Cassie. I do love Cassia though 😍
