Constance or Jemima

Til89 · 09/01/2019 09:25

I don’t really like any... I think Ophelia and Persephone are nice names but I wouldn’t go for them because of the associations.
Ramona is nice!

MrsMcW · 09/01/2019 09:13

Not a huge fan of any, but would go for Constance. Connie is sweet.

I don't understand why Ophelia is popular. It's most famous association is with a Shakespearean tragic heroine who goes mad and drowns herself. Persephone isn't much better... Kidnapped, dragged to the Underworld and forced to remain there for 6 months each year while the world above withered in grief.

ReginaPhalange89 · 09/01/2019 09:07

They're not really my taste , but out of the 4 probably Ophelia. Although I do love the nn Connie, just not keen on the full version!

comebacksoonsusan · 09/01/2019 08:12

Constance.

ArtisanPopcorn · 09/01/2019 08:09

Ophelia. Second choice Jemima shortened to Mimi. I find Constance dull and Persephone a bit OTT.

cheercaptain · 09/01/2019 08:05

Which of these will I pick? None.

Instamom · 09/01/2019 07:53

Constance

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/01/2019 03:29

Jemima

Babbaganoush · 09/01/2019 03:27

Ophelia

Percy11 · 09/01/2019 03:02

Persephone nn Percy

RainbowWaffles · 09/01/2019 03:01

Jemima.

Astronica · 09/01/2019 02:58

Oh I love Ramona too, almost as much as I love Jemima.

Pemba · 09/01/2019 02:09

Jemima or Persephone.

Ophelia, like pps said, sounds like 'oh-feela-ya', which is slightly strange. And there's the sad end of the original Ophelia too. I'd prefer Olivia or Octavia.

Constance is a bit stuffy.

CarolinenotCarolyn · 08/01/2019 16:28

Ophelia

Kescilly · 08/01/2019 14:13

Constance or Ophelia for me!

MikeUniformMike · 08/01/2019 13:42

Jemima or Constance.

Livingthedream44 · 08/01/2019 13:39

I love Ophelia.
I also like Connie.

FlagFish · 08/01/2019 13:05

Constance or Jemima

TatianaLarina · 08/01/2019 13:05

Constance.

Not keen on Ramona for the moany element. But like Romane or Romana.

VelvetKitty · 08/01/2019 12:59

Ophelia

daisypond · 08/01/2019 12:46

Constance of Jemima. Ophelia is terrible - call your daughter after a minor character famous for drowning herself? Persephone is a bit much.

ChoccyBiccyTastic · 08/01/2019 11:05

Jemima!

Bernadetteloves · 08/01/2019 10:26

I would not pick Persephone. The others are all nice. I prefer Jemima and Constance.

MumUnderTheMoon · 08/01/2019 10:23

I really like Ramona it means "protecting hands" though I suppose it sounds a bit like remoner which is unfortunate. What about Romola? Your name list sounds a bit like mine, I also like Tommi, Francesca, Meredith, Athena and Henrietta nn Etta.
