Luna is gorgeous, resonant, unusual, cute, mysterious.
Iris is old lady and commonplace.

Luna is number one globally in the list of most popular dog names. I’d go for Iris on that basis. Iris is an elegant, classic name too.

Iris is more classic and established. Luna of the moment and a bit hippy drippy imo.

Incidentally, when I typed Luna, autocorrect changed it to Lunatic. Maybe something to consider?!

Iris out of the two. Both are very popular but I think Iris is more elegant.

I'm coming at this from the completely opposite pov, as neither name is one I like.

But of the two, I'd choose Iris, because not everyone will think 'eyeballs', whereas the silent 'tic' at the end of Luna is really very commonly noticed and much harder (IMO) to live with.
