Hi. Love the name Lois for girl and dh does too but I am a little dubious as surname would be Clark. Too “supermany”???

It's totally fine, they are both normal quite common names so I don't see an issue at all. I really like lois.

It would make me do a double take but I know many people with more "character" names and often the parents are oblivious having grown up in a different country or being a bit older or younger or not having read the same books or watched the same programmes. And then there are the ones where parents named a child and only later did a character get given the same name.

😂 maybe I’ll consider that as middle name choice is next thing to do!

Lol no it's great.

Unless her middle name is "Fliesatnightwith"

It’s just with superman’s real name being Clark Kent and girlfriend Lois Lane... I can’t seem to get it out of my head (but it is probably the reason superhero loving dh likes the name Hmm) can’t ask family / friends as we are not sharing the name until birth.

I’ve known a Lois Clark for over twenty years and the connection has never occurred to me until this thread!

riotlady · 02/01/2019 23:30

I wouldn’t have put it together as superman-related unless you’d said tbh!
