Lois Lane would be too much but Lois Clarke is not. I love Lois.

MitziK · 05/01/2019 23:58

Double down on the superhero thing. Pick a first name beginning with C or K and the middle name Lois.

Every superhero character worth his/her salt has an alliterative name (with the same starting sounds) -

Clark Kent
Peter Parker
Lois Lane
Bruce Banner
Linda Lee

  • and hundreds more.

How about Kara Lois (or Kara Louise)?

Cazastrophe · 05/01/2019 14:13

It is too Lois & Clark (The Dean Cain Superman series!)
Eloise would be better or Élodie?
Or Lucy.

I think it's fine

ForAMinuteThere · 03/01/2019 20:46

It's amazing and you should do it.

I'd think family guy before superman!

slappinthebass · 03/01/2019 20:42

I'd instantly think you were a superman fan but I still think you can use it. I know someone that has a Lois, a Clark a Kent and a Parker though.

BikeRunSki · 03/01/2019 19:40

@Clary, I could tell you, but then I’d have to Poison you Wink

jessstan2 · 03/01/2019 19:36

Nice! You could have Kent as a second name :-).

MikeUniformMike · 03/01/2019 19:35

How about Clara instead of Lois. It is popular on here.

daisypond · 03/01/2019 19:02

It's fine. I'm not sure I'd make the connection even.

indianbackground · 03/01/2019 18:54

Lois would make me think of superman whatever the surname, maybe because I don’t know any others called Lois. It’s a nice name.

clary · 03/01/2019 18:50

aargh ok sorry Christmas brain, gotcha now 😃😃

MumUnderTheMoon · 03/01/2019 18:48

I think Lois is a lovely name but with your surname you will probably get people making that connection with superman. If it's likely to annoy you I would probably say pick another name. Or you could hyphenate it so there's always a buffer between the two something like Lois-Jane?

MyDisposableUsername · 03/01/2019 17:06

Seriously clary? You don't know it already from Bike's last post? Grin

clary · 03/01/2019 17:03

haha I'm not at school any more thank goodness. I'll give it some thought

BikeRunSki · 03/01/2019 14:57

Famous rock star, female stage name
Not even neutral like Kelly
If it weren’t holidays you could go to the library to look it up, but it’s a shame School’s Out Wink

clary · 03/01/2019 14:38

Oooh Bikerunski I really want to know your name now!! Grin (starts guessing)

Hernam3waslola · 03/01/2019 13:30

Clark is such a common surname people won’t think twice about it. I love Lois- so refreshing and pretty!

Honeybee79 · 03/01/2019 11:32

It's fine and a lovely name.

BikeRunSki · 03/01/2019 08:58

It’s fine. Lois is a great name, although the Lous dd is friends with sobers a lot of time telling people she is not called Louise.

Let me share my experience. I share a name with a very well know rock star of the 80s/90s. He is still known (it’s an unequivocal girls name btw, man uses it as a stage name). It usually gets mentioned once the first time I meet someone, it might then get mentioned occasionally, if at all. Have a famous meme is not a problem, and Lois Clark is really a very tenuous connection.

Flamingosnbears · 03/01/2019 08:52

Fine name not at all too super hero quite refreshing actually...

Juliet89 · 03/01/2019 08:49

I actually know a Lois Lane! Lois Clark is fine.

Smile19 · 03/01/2019 00:21

Lois is a totally gorgeous name. Be brave if you love it. Congratulations and good luck.

clary · 02/01/2019 23:58

It's fine. If her name would be Lois Lane that would be odd, though I did have a colleague who taught James Bond 😂😂
