Hi! I need ideas for baby girl , I'm Greek and husband is German and we live in the UK. I'm trying to find a name that will be easily pronounced in all countries plus be nice and a little unique. My list so far is:

Eva
Amelie
Alexandra
Josephine
Christina
Naomi

But I dont completely love any of these! Naomi maybe a little more than the others but it is pronounced Nah-o-mee in greece and germany and Ni-o-mee in the Uk or Nay-oh-mee by americans- so a bit confusing if I call her wrong!

Which name do you like ? And any other ideas?

@MargueritaPink: I suppose the original Callisto did, but I tend to think of Callista in terms of Callista Flockhart who holds no positive or negative overtones for me.

I think Freya is lovely but I know it's quite popular.

MargueritaPink · 02/01/2019 23:55

Isn't Callista just a variation of Callisto? I like both of them but Callisto didn't have a great time either.

MargueritaPink IClavdivs very impressed by your knowledge on greek mythology! They do use these name often in Greece but maybe abroad it sounds strange! So ok no tragic figures!

And I guess Eva is out too and Josephine / Alexandra /Christina are good

from the rest i do like Penelope and Anna

Most of them - apart from Penelope and Ariadne and it wasn't a bundle of laughs for them either although it ended well.

IClavdivs · 02/01/2019 23:38

Callista - Greek for most beautiful.
