Did a name just come to you when baby arrived?

Currently 36wks pregnant with a baby girl due to be delivered by planned section next week.

Dp and i have never really settled on a name throughout pregnancy. We do have two in mind but DP isn't keen on the one i prefer and although i do like the other name too i feel like i can't commit to it.

I've been stuck in hospital for three weeks and we have now both come to the conclusion that neither of us are bothered what we call her.

Will i be on here when baby is three weeks old with a nameless baby? Or will we see her and just know?

Fwiw its been a long road here. This is my 4th pregnancy with 2mmcs and a stillbirth in between so i think that's probably why we've never really commited to a name.

I think if you have a couple of names in mind, you'll find that when you look at her one will "feel" right. That's just my experience though.

With DS we only had one boys name we liked. I panicked trying to think of alternatives incase he didn't "look like his name". When he came out he definitely did - it felt right! That being said we were very set on it whereas this time around it's all very "meh" as it sounds like it is with yourself! Maybe when she's here and you have her little face to put the name to, you'll like the name a lot more!

With both my daughter and my son the name that stood out the list during pregnancy was the name I ended up giving them. Charlotte for my daughter and Lewis for my son. Other names were considered for my daughter but I hated every other name with my son!
