Zélie (pronounced similarly to zay-lee)
Beatrix
Lorelei
Nellie
Scarlett

What do you think of when you hear these names? Are there any positive /negative connotations I'm not thinking of? (I know about the creepy mermaid called Lorelei who used her beauty and song to lure men to their deaths but I actually quite like this! It's made me like the name more for some reason 😂)

Thanks in advance!

I love Eleanor but it's a bit of a mouthful with our surname - you're right that I prefer it as a full name though! Maybe I'll add Eleanor back to the list Smile I agree that Scarlett would only suit some girls - I imagine a Scarlett to be pretty and fiesty and if she's not then it might not suit her

They're all fine except Nellie looks misplaced - I'd have thought you'd prefer Eleanor/Helen type 'proper' names with historical meaning, and could have Nellie as a nickname though it's one I'd avoid tbh.
And Scarlett is the sort of name which fits some people but not others.

Oh and I forgot! Hermione and Minerva. I know they're a bit Harry Potter. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter. I'd not use both names together as that would be OTT obviously but could either be acceptable? Both fab strong characters, think they'd be amazing people for a daughter to look up to, what great role models! Could use Minnie as a nickname for both (granny's name which makes it special!) Both have good meanings outside of HP too (Hermione in Shakespeare was positive, as is Minerva the goddess). Fully prepared to be told these are too much but thought I'd try my luck Smile
