Can I use a name a friend had just used?

Our baby boy is due any day and we've gone through lists and lists of names and both really stuck on Hugo. We both really love it and it goes with middle & last name perfectly.

The only problem is that a girl I work with has called her little boy Hugo too just a few weeks ago.

We don't see her out of work and are just work & Facebook friends but I can't help feel she might think we are coping.

What do you think?

use it! you will only regret it if you don't....

She is just someone you work with that you don’t see outside of work.

No problem at all

Totally fine to use it, not a good friend or relative so no issue.

I think it would be different if it was really obscure/unusual name but I know of quite a few baby hugos recently so I think it's fine.

I'd mention it to her first but it's fine. Something along the lines of, congratulations, excellent choice of name - that's the name we have chosen too!

It's fine to use it.
