Maria - classic, easy to spell and pronounce
Maia/maya - no
Lilia - no
Serena - yes
Amelie - overused
Lara - ok
My favourite is Maria.

Maria - timeless and international but a little boring
Maia/maya - sweet but not classic, a little "of the moment", will be one of several in her class
Lilia - sweet! Sounds classic and international
Serena - all I can think of is Williams. Also seems a bit dated
Amelie - I loved this but because of the film it got really really popular and then suddenly stopped being popular so it seems a bit dated now
Lara - I prefer Zara or Clara
