Boys names (shortened to something ending in "ie/y")

Hope my title makes sense 😂
Basically we are having a little boy, current names we love can all be shortened to more modern nicknames (Ernest/Ernie, Douglas/Dougie, Arthur/Artie, Albert/Albie)

Baby would probably be known more as nickname than christened name.

Any more ideas greatly received xx

@tammytoby I don't mind about being on trend too much, just a preference to have a name we can shorten thanks for your suggestions!

Ahh @RolyRocks I love Barney 😍

Albie, Archie, Artie, Ollie, Teddie, Ernie, Willie, Herbie, Charlie, Freddie etc

I feel this cutesy name trend may be nearing an end?!

I know an Idris that gets called Iddy but it’s not really the same style as the ones you suggested

PippilottaLongstocking · 21/12/2018 11:50

I do that with most names anyway even if it’s not a traditional shortening of he name!

Oliver/Ollie
Albert can also be Bertie
James/Jamie
Matthew/Matty
Thomas/Tommy
Francis/Frankie
John (or Jonathon)/Jonny
Samuel/Sammy
Daniel/Danny
Frederick/Freddy
