Thinking of Kala Anadahlia for soon to arrive DD. I think it's pretty and unique, but a friend said it may be too much? What do you think?

I believe Kala is an actual Asian baby name.

It sounds like a comedy name. Pretentious and made-up. Poor little girl being saddled with a lifetime of that name. Sorry OP but you asked. I hope you're not being serious.

I'd pronounce it Ka-la. There's no y.
