Olivia. Kendall is a place or a surname and definitely not a little girl's name.

IHopeThisIsAGoodIdea · 20/12/2018 14:06

Kendall is awful.

tammytoby · 20/12/2018 13:52

Olivia has become so dull through overuse, sorry.

Kendall just doesn't sound feminine at all.

MsTSwift · 20/12/2018 13:20

Sorry I would go back to the drawing board. Kendall is a Kardashian’s name and Olivia is tediously popular it’s like a 40 year old being called Sarah.

IrisStar · 20/12/2018 13:18

big no to Kendall as you just immediately think of the awful Kardashians. Olivia is a beautiful name x

Cazastrophe · 20/12/2018 00:19

Olivia is lovely (Amelia is nice too if you wanted an alternative).
I like the nickname Liv too.
Kendall is awful, sounds like ‘Ken Doll’. I would avoid!
Olivia Grace is adorable.

babystripes · 19/12/2018 23:28

Kendall is my top name at the minute! I love it! Also really like myla.. I know so many Olivia's!

Astronica · 16/12/2018 12:06

I prefer Olivia. No problem with giving your child your middle name.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 16/12/2018 09:21

So many Olivia's. I wouldn't personally. But Kendall? No way. Awful.

YouSetTheTone · 16/12/2018 08:25

Olivia! I actually only know one 5 yr old called Olivia. No babies/ toddlers and no girls in my DC1 class. Each time I was pg I shortlisted Olivia as I think it’s a feminine name that works well on a woman of all ages. I also considered Livia. (Had boys each time! Grin)
I think it’s fine if your second name is Olivia. No one will care, or if they know they’d think it was sweet (IMO).
I don’t like Kendall as a first name but actually Olivia Kendall sounds quite nice?

HannahnotAgnes · 15/12/2018 13:54

Olivia - Kendall is a horrendous name.

MikeUniformMike · 15/12/2018 13:52

Kendall would be ok as mn but is a bit too mintcake for me. Olivias are everywhere but it's nice enough.

tammytoby · 15/12/2018 08:45

Olivia is too popular imo

Whyareallthegoodnamesgone · 15/12/2018 01:16

Ophelia? Aurora? Alba? Sorry had some more ideas!

Whyareallthegoodnamesgone · 15/12/2018 01:15

As for Kendall, I think people will just assume you're a massive Kardashians fan (which I am but I keep that a huge secret Grin). I think if you introduced a girl as Kendall people would be a bit Hmm

Whyareallthegoodnamesgone · 15/12/2018 01:13

Olivia is nice - you could go with Livia or Olive to choose a less popular version? I think Ella is nicer than Elle, and Mila is nicer than Myla.

What about -

Heidi
Freya
Lila
Esmé
Phoebe
Summer
Ivy
Imogen
Scarlett
Violet

I'd say Ella and Mila often appear on the name lists of people considering those names too

Theresomethingaboutdairy · 14/12/2018 23:22

Olivia. Timeless and beautiful. Kendall will be judged I'm afraid.

Sophronia · 14/12/2018 23:17

My grandad’s middle name is Kendall Grin

BeanBagLady · 14/12/2018 22:23

Kendall is horrible.

Avegemitesandwich · 14/12/2018 22:14

Neither.

I actually really like Kendall but it's just too Kardashian/Jenner but Olivia is just bloody everywhere.

furrysheep · 14/12/2018 22:11

Olivia is a nice name but very popular. I think it is currently ranked as the most commonly used name of in the UK. So if you don't mind her being one of many Olivia's in the class then it's fine.
Kendall is nice but as others have said it is very Kardashiany. It also just makes me think of Kendal mint cake... which is one of those things that is not really very nice but your granny might buy you as a gift... sorry!

alsoliviax · 14/12/2018 21:33

Yeah I like a few girl names, I love Elle and Harper. Also love Myla but got grief of a lot of women last night when I asked people because apparently its a "underwear shop" in London. Dont see what that has to do with naming a daughter lol. I was also told they were stripper names!!

Olivia

AuntieStella · 14/12/2018 20:59

Olivia

Kendall is too surname-y for a girl, and probably too mint-cakey for either sex

TatianaLarina · 14/12/2018 20:52

Olivia. Way too popular but miles better than Kendall.
