Aiden, Felix or Owen?

So, these are our top three. We already have an older daughter called Penelope Ada. Our surname starts with an O, two syllables. Me and my husband are not big people so ds isn't likely to be either! His middle name is going to be Barnabas, which has a special meaning for us. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Except Aidan is an actual name, so not close at all really to Jayden or kayden.

I would say Aidan or Owen as Felix is cat food.

MacarenaFerreiro · 08/12/2018 08:54

Felix or Owen. Aiden/Aidan is too close to the Brayden, Kayden, Jayden names which are awful.

ViragoKnows · 08/12/2018 03:28

Actually, ABO is much, much worse that “not great”.

ViragoKnows · 08/12/2018 03:27

Felix. Nice name and a good meaning too.

Neither Owen or Aiden will go well with an O surname (eg Owen Ogden, Aiden Orange etc), plus the initials with Barnabas will give you OBO or ABO, neither of which are great.

TBH, Owen is a bit of a ‘naughty boy’ name anyway.

Felix is miles better.

Owen

SoupDragon · 06/12/2018 14:55

Felix is a cat food.

Owen or Aidan. Not Aiden.

Autumnnymph · 06/12/2018 14:53

Felix by far.

Gobletoffire · 06/12/2018 14:23

Felix!

starkid · 06/12/2018 11:34

Felix :) I would say Owen except for the alliteration, and without knowing the surname cannot be sure if would sound 'cool superhero' or not Grin

jessstan2 · 06/12/2018 09:59

Try not to have two names (first and surname) that end in the same phonetic sound. Such as Aiden and Owen. Aiden Owen doesn't 'go' though are both good names.

TatianaLarina · 06/12/2018 09:47

Felix

Crimbobimbo · 06/12/2018 09:24

Felix

Felix

Astronica · 06/12/2018 08:35

Felix for sure. A great name.

Aidan (much better spelling) is terribly popular (and a bit bland), and Owen feels also feels a little bland to me and won't work well with your surname.

Sophronia · 05/12/2018 23:52

Owen Barnabas

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 05/12/2018 22:26

I know 8 Aidens ranging from 3 weeks to 4years it’s a lovely names but so popular around here at the moment (London) don’t know if that bothers you.
Out of your top 3 I would choose Owen, although I really love Barnabas.

DramaAlpaca · 05/12/2018 22:23

Owen or Aidan (that spelling) for me.

Felix has cat associations & I don't like it much.

HappyGoLuckyGo · 05/12/2018 22:23

Owen is my favourite, but with your surname I’d probably choose Felix!

SallyWD · 05/12/2018 22:21

Owen is lovely

Cbeebiesrehab · 05/12/2018 21:25

Felix 100%

ShadyLady53 · 05/12/2018 21:14

Felix is the classiest one.

Conventicle · 05/12/2018 21:09

It’s Aidan, not ‘Aiden’..

BumbleDevon · 05/12/2018 21:06

Owen.

Jasperoonicle · 05/12/2018 20:46

Felix for sure!

Polkasq · 05/12/2018 20:45

Felix is great. I also like Aidan with this spelling. It's obviously very similar to Ada but as Ada is a middle name this won't be noticeable.
