I like the Margaux spelling, too, and the name best. I don't mind Jenna. It's a cuddlier name. If you use it, Margaux makes a nice mn as a pp suggested.

I definitely prefer Jenna. Margot isn’t terrible either but it reminds me of “The Good Life”.

I choose Margot

Jenna to me, first and foremost, is the name of an American pornstar (Jenna Jameson). Secondly, it seems to me to be a made up version of Jenny/Jennifer in the way that names from USA often seem to be adapted/made up (from ABCDE to Heaven backwards spelled Nevaeh, for example).

That is just my experience/opinion and you should choose what you like. For me Margot is an actual name, known for a long time and familiar to most.

Jenna is great to spell phonetically when they get to school and learning to spell their name. Also can work with many personalities and professions.

However they may be faced with having to correct constantly that their name isn't Jemma.

Margot sounds a bit poncy really

If DD did go and work in Germany she would still be Margo, just as a French Louis would be pronounced Loo ee not Lewis.

It’s absurd to worry about what someone might be called in Peru.

It’s the original name Margaret/Marguerite that derives from Greek via Latin.

Margot is the French diminutive, pronounced Margo in France and in the U.K. The German version isn’t relevant unless OP plans to live there.

Even if Margot is originally French (actually Greek), it is still a commonly used German name pronounced Margott. Just making the op aware of it.
