Kirsten or Felicity?

I posted a thread earlier about Emilia and I realised a lot of people had a good point, it is far too popular when you consider all the Amelia/Emily/Millie/Amelie/Emma/Emmy girls out there. Even my dh doesn’t want to use it anymore, and Emilia was originally his suggestion.

Now we have come to two names, Felicity and Kirsten. Any obvious drawbacks to these I’m not seeing? I think for first and middle names we like Felicity Phoebe or Kirsten Aurora. Which do you think is better?

I really like Kirsten (although the 3 Kirstens I know all say Kerr not Keer, but both ways are nice)

userabcname · 28/11/2018 19:30

I prefer Felicity

villainousbroodmare · 28/11/2018 19:20

I love both but Kirsten edges it for me.

bringbackfonzi · 28/11/2018 19:18

I think Kirsten is lovely, dated enough for it to be original again. Felicity is ok. My best combination would be Kirsten Felicity.

midsomermurderess · 28/11/2018 18:13

Kirsten but mostly because I dislike nicknamnes for Felicity, like Flick, Fliss and Fizz.

Fulltimemummy85 · 28/11/2018 09:50

Felicity, kirsten is too much like Kirsty

TatianaLarina · 28/11/2018 09:36

I much prefer Phoebe and Aurora to Kirsten and Felicity.

I prefer Kirsten to Felicity.

Astronica · 28/11/2018 09:05

Both nice names, but I really like Felicity best. Not so keen on it with Phoebe though. Felicity Kirsten is great!

Felicity.
Aurora Felicity?

Lineofbeauty · 28/11/2018 00:42

Kirsten by miles. Felicity is not for me.

ErrolTheDragon · 28/11/2018 00:33

Felicity. A single -syllable middle name would probably sound best if there's one you like.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 28/11/2018 00:32

Felicity — I much prefer the meaning.

pixieloux · 28/11/2018 00:29

I much prefer Felicity but it doesn’t work with Phoebe, despite being a lovely name. Felicity Aurora works a bit better although it is a tad long and a bit vowel heavy.

Not the biggest fan of Kirsten, if I’m honest. Kirsten Aurora is absolutely beautiful however - works perfectly!

TimeToRevolutionize · 27/11/2018 23:45

You will most likely end up with a Fliss or Kirstie... which do you prefer of these?

JaiNotJay · 27/11/2018 23:11

Kirsten Aurora is a beautiful name. Smile

TheGhostOfYou · 27/11/2018 23:08

Felicity definitely. Although I wouldn't pair it with Phoebe as PPs have said.

ZebraKid71 · 27/11/2018 23:05

Definitely Kirsten.

Felicity is one I those names I should like as it fits my well known but not too popular criteria. Buuuut I just don't think it sounds nice.

Beachbiscuit · 27/11/2018 21:36

We would pronounce it Keeeersten
