I'm wondering why it's not more popular?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think the dated comments are funny! I'm just getting rather bored with Olivia, Edie, Ava, Ella etc

I like it.

halfwitpicker · 27/11/2018 19:09

Fox

It doesn't seem to be in fashion right now, but it's a lovely name, IMO. It's a bit sheep like the way some people would dismiss it just because it was more popular in the 70s/80s. If you love it, be brave and use it, don't settle for yet another Ava, Isla or Lily-Mae.

Cosmoa · 27/11/2018 18:57

I used to wish I was called Samantha as a child, you've just reminded me! I used to always pick it as my name when playing 'pretending' games.

I wished it was my name cause I loved the name Sam. But brother is called Samuel so I he was Sam instead 😂

huggybear · 27/11/2018 18:56

It's one of my least favourite names, and I know some lovely Samanthas so it's not that. I do think objectively it's quite dated.

Annandale · 27/11/2018 18:50

I'm the wrong age to like it but there's nothing bad about it.

MerlinsBeard87 · 27/11/2018 18:50

I think it's dated, but sammy is really sweet for a girl

empmalswa · 27/11/2018 18:49

DD has a Samantha in her class. I really like it.

ElizabethMainwaring · 27/11/2018 18:49

I meant that it is refreshing. Its very nice OP.

ElizabethMainwaring · 27/11/2018 18:47

Yes! My reaction as well! A proper name but not over used. I'd delete this thread if I were you OP!

Twatforahat · 27/11/2018 18:47

I really don't like it, but then I don't like many of the feminised male names. This was is particularly dated.

Winterwonderland12 · 27/11/2018 18:45

Love Samantha! Classic and refreshing.

ernjas · 27/11/2018 18:03

Seems a bit dated to me but it's alright.
