Is Queenie a usable name? Is it more middle name material or do you think it's bad in general? Hmm

I know a Queenie, sister of Duchess. Both traveller children. Very cute names for very cute children (both under 5)

I know a 15 year old Queenie.

I did a big eye roll when she was named as a baby but now it just suits her. She's def the only one in the school though.

I have a careful thoughtful 12 year old we had some more way out names on our list so glad we didn’t use them she would them.

Would you yourself be comfortable being called Queenie?

Agree with CherryValance. I would not use it as a formal name and would give Elizabeth or Victoria and then use Queenie as a nickname.

I love it, and would have used it as a nickname if I'd ever had an Elizabeth. However, I wouldn't have used it as a birth certificate name. Works as a nickname for Elizabeth and Victoria, and if you go down the queen consort route also Caroline, Anne, Mary, Charlotte, Adelaide etc

I like it, but I've only encountered it as a character in Patrick O'Brien's Master & Commander series, set in the early 19th century, and it seems a lovely name for a woman in that context! I had no idea it had all these other connotations though!
