I'm down to five girl names, what do you prefer?

I've already decided on the middle name which will be Rhianne Smile
But I'm stuck with picking a first name out of these options, what's your favourite?

Kelsey Rhianne
Lara Rhianne
Sansa Rhianne
Olivia Rhianne
Brooke Rhianne

And if you can think of any first names that go better with Rhianne then I'd welcome any suggestions Smile

I like Sansa. Powerful feminist character although you don't know what happens to her in the story yet! I wouldn't worry about the connection. By the time she's in school none of the kids will know what GOT is. I'm naked after a Dallas character and maybe two or three people have pointed it out my whole life.

Lara is lovely

Sansa sounds like toilet cleaner

KeepCalm · 01/12/2018 06:07

Lara or Olivia

NotANotMan · 01/12/2018 05:27

Nobody would shorten Rhianne to anne

MountainPeakGeek · 01/12/2018 05:24

Lara

YouCouldBeMe · 01/12/2018 04:41

I've not heard of Rhianne being shortened to Anne. So I think that or Rihanna or Rhiannon would be lovely. From your original list I love Olivia.

EmeraldBookshelf · 01/12/2018 03:01

I like Sansa. I don’t think Rhianne would be shortened to Anne by anyone. More likely they would say Ri-Ri like Rihanna does. I like Rhianne Brooke.

Rachelle3211 · 01/12/2018 02:52

Lara

Also prefer the Rhian spelled Rhianne as it gives off more of a feminine vibe imo, I know Rhian could be a male now and I would spell it Rhian if it were for a boy but as I'm having a girl, Rhiannon seems nicer? I don't know 😂

Only reason I didn't want Rhian/Rhianne as a first name is because I have a feeling it would be shortened to Anne by others and I don't like that very much, just a little too classic for my liking.

Thanks everyone for the name suggestions and opinions on what goes well. Smile

Most commentators prefer Lara over the other options, I like this name as it rolls off the tongue. I do see what some have said about Sansa being too GOT so I've decided to scrap that name from my list. I did have Zelda as an option but scrapped that for the same kind of reason.

Lara Rhian seems like a good choice but I think I prefer the spelling of Rhian as Rhianne, I'm now debating if it's suppose to be pronounced Ree-Anne or RI-Anne ? I would pronounce it Ree-Anne but that might just be because I'm English. Do the welsh pronounce it differently?

Kelsey or Lara

qumquat · 28/11/2018 16:40

Lara. Yes there's a lot of rs but the names will hardly ever be used together. It's miles nicer than all of your other choices.

SoyDora · 28/11/2018 15:37

I’ve never heard the name Sansa, but then I’ve never seen GOT.

SoyDora · 28/11/2018 15:36

Lara or Olivia. Not keen on the others.

Pemba · 28/11/2018 15:30

Has to be Lara or Olivia really (both very nice names).
Sansa has a nice sound, but is far too Game of Thrones as pp said. A similar name is Sanchia would that be a possibility?
Brooke is too surnamey.

Kelsey seems somehow very 80s and not very classy at all. To me, it's similar to Kimberley and Beverley (urrgh!) though I suppose slightly better than them. But it's very different from your other choices.

MamaDane · 28/11/2018 10:47

Lara or Olivia are both great options. I'd probably go for Lara.

starkid · 27/11/2018 13:48

Lara is gorgeous and classy

Davespecifico · 27/11/2018 13:40

Just Lara, tho as others have said, Lara Rhianne doesn't flow well.

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 13:38

Lara is my favourite but not totally sure it goes with Rhianne, too many rrrr sounds (well for me being Scottish anyway ! It doesn't roll off the tongue for us !)

firstbrightday · 27/11/2018 13:37

I like Lara, Olivia and Brooke. Although I would spell it 'Rhian' but that could just be because the only one I know is spelled that way.

Astronica · 27/11/2018 12:55

Lara or Olivia

Bloomini · 27/11/2018 11:54

Livia Rhian

RedWineIsFabulous · 27/11/2018 11:44

Olivia

Slowtrain2dawn · 27/11/2018 11:40

Lara is lovely
