  • Lilith

Boys:

  • Aldous
  • Griffin

  • Desmond
  • Roscoe
  • Evander
  • Gilbert
  • Otis

  • Redmond

Honest opinions welcome!

Arabella and Desmond

BackforGood · 25/11/2018 19:17

I really like Josephine. Not really any of the other girls names. At a push, Clara would be ok.

Don't like any of the boys' names. If pushed to choose then Miles of possibly Gilbert.

ernjas · 25/11/2018 18:51

Arabella: it's okay, but not many nn options for such a long name.
Josephine: not keen, except I like the nn Joey.
Clara: don't like at all.
Tallulah: too twee for me.
Bianca: not keen.
Leonora: not keen, prefer Leona or leonie.
Delphi: not keen, reminds me of Philadelphia?
Seraphina: don't like at all.
Greta: quite like this.
Juno: quite like this.
Lavender: like this.
Seren: it's okay.
Piper: really like.
Lilith: don't like at all.

Aldous: not keen.
Griffin: not keen and always reminds me of family guy.
Miles: really like this.
Desmond: don't like at all.
Roscoe: like this.
Evander: not keen and a heavy association with Holyfield.
gilbert: not keen, surname to me.
Otis: love this.
Wilbur: really don't like.
Redmond: really don't like.

Juno! It’s such a cool name that I wish I was called it. Would’ve been DD2 had dd1 not been Margot

Astronica · 25/11/2018 07:55

Love: Greta and Juno.
Like: Clara, Leonora, Seren, Piper
Dislike: Bianca

Love: Aldous, Griffin, Miles, Gilbert
Like: Roscoe, Evander, Redmond
no dislikes

Clash William was ruled out for that reason, but I sort of hoped Wilbur might not get Will. Grin Too optimistic?

Glad to see that Delphi has got a good reception! I am surprised.

You may be right about Tallulah Lee being too L heavy.

And they definitely do look like Winston Churchills. Grin

ClashCityRocker · 24/11/2018 20:42

Actually, I think tallulah Lee is a bit too many L's and maybe a bit of a mouthful?

ClashCityRocker · 24/11/2018 20:12

If your surnames Lee, I would probably scrap Wilbur in case it gets shortened to Will and you end up with a Will Lee.

I love Delphi, in fact I like most of your girls names.

Boys names aren't really my taste, but don't think any are problematic.

You do have quite a range there - maybe a case of waiting and seeing what he or she looks like? (although to my mind, they all look like winston Churchill anyway... So maybe not 😁)

Tigger001 · 24/11/2018 20:07

I really like Otis and not really a fan of the girls names probably piper is my favourite.

When I hear Bianca I just hear it being shouted in Eastenders 😬😬

Tallie12 · 24/11/2018 19:55

Seren not Sarah!

Tallie12 · 24/11/2018 19:55

Love Sarah and Otis. Also really like Griffin!

Hellywelly10 · 24/11/2018 10:59

Miles is the only one i like.

weewillywinkie · 24/11/2018 10:55

Piper, Clara and Otis

daisypond · 24/11/2018 10:40

Josephine and Miles are great

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 24/11/2018 10:14

Seren!

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 24/11/2018 10:14

Love Juno Stern & Roscoe.

jq28 · 24/11/2018 09:58

Piper and miles

Icklepup · 24/11/2018 09:57

I love Delphi and Griffin

swimmerforlife · 24/11/2018 09:29

My favourite is Serpahina, also quite like Seren, Piper and Arabella.

Juno is nice but reminds me of the film, ditto Bianca with Eastenders. The only girls names I dislike is Lavender and Delphi.

Honestly I really dislike most of your boys names, however they are probably not to my taste as they seem to old fashioned to me. Miles and Gilbert is awful though, closely followed by Desmond.

I do quite like Evander and Otis is alright.

bridgetreilly · 24/11/2018 09:17

I really like Miles, Gilbert and Wilbur.

Not a fan of any on your girls' list, though.

JennyHolzersGhost · 24/11/2018 08:14

I thought this thread was going to be about the name Penny Grin

RedDwarves · 24/11/2018 08:12

Regina I like Evan too, but with the surname Lee it sounds too close to "heavenly". Grin

Not in Scotland haha!

userabcname · 24/11/2018 07:21

I really like Miles, Wilbur and Otis from your boys list. I like Seraphina and Tallulah from the girls.

ReginaPhalange89 · 24/11/2018 06:55

From your girls I like Arabella, Juno and Piper. Not sure they all carry well through to being an adult though?

Not overly keen on many of the boys names , Miles is the best of them imo. Although you have evander on there, Evan is one of my fav boys names ! But not evander.

Also if you're in Scotland (which I assume you aren't) definitely not Rosscoe - that's basically what all Chavy boys named Ross get called here lol

BramRang · 24/11/2018 00:46

I've been trying to persuade dp on Aldous after he suggested Huxley (we have very different tastes in names...).

Evander is my favourite from your boys names and Leonora my favourite from the girls.
