And whereabouts in the country are you and how old are they? Just trying to get a gist of how popular it is

Small village on the south coast - in our small village school there are three Rubys: one in y6, one in y4, and one in reception.

Gillian1980 · 07/12/2018 00:58

Dd is 3 and called Ruby. Only Ruby at her nursery of approx 40 children.
Devon.

Twatforahat · 22/11/2018 12:29

Getabloominmoveon · 22/11/2018 12:22

SheHasNotions · 22/11/2018 12:22

Boatsnack3 · 22/11/2018 12:21

I know 3 a 9 year old a 7 year old and a 60+ year old. Although i think the 60+ year olds given name is actually Rebecca.

FrankieChips · 22/11/2018 12:17

One little girl. I love the name and she really suits it too :) I'm in London.

gummibears · 22/11/2018 08:10

Lots of Rubys aged 10 and under! Mainly girls and dogs.

villainousbroodmare · 21/11/2018 19:37

One, male, late 30s, very well known jockey. Short for Rupert I think. And dozens of dogs and cats.

masktaster · 21/11/2018 19:37

Actually, having said that, just remembered another - a now-year-4 in the south east

masktaster · 21/11/2018 19:35

I've taught in various parts of the UK and only remember one, in South Wales - she'd be in year 9 now.

3out · 21/11/2018 19:30

N.E Scotland btw

3out · 21/11/2018 19:29

5 or 6, ranging from 5 to 50s, but know more with Ruby as a middle name.

spreadingchestnuttree · 21/11/2018 19:27

My kids go to a large primary school in the South West and I can only think of one Ruby at school, aged 9. And we know one out of school too, aged 11. Lovely name!

Jenda · 21/11/2018 19:22

Thank you! this is wonderfully reassuring. I know it's popular but I don't want her to be one of three in a class! It's been my favourite name since forever and i've just found out I am having a girl!

Btw GREAT name for a staffie!!

Belindabauer · 21/11/2018 16:52

16, 10, 10, 9, 7, 5.

TheOrigBrave · 21/11/2018 16:49

1 in DS2's class (age 9) and one woman who must be in her 60s I suppose.

Notveryadventurousname · 21/11/2018 16:46

Five in one year group and (in another circle), three in one sports team. All early secondary age - West Midlands.

festivellama · 20/11/2018 14:00

I know two - one in her early teens, one in her early eighties. Both home counties.
