So we have a 2 week old lg and still have no name but have shortlisted it to the following and I will literally just go with whichever gets the most votes Hmm

  1. Miley / Mylee
  2. Elissa
  3. Marnie
  4. Elsie

Or any other better suggestion that resembles any of the above!
As much as I do appreciate other people’s opinions please can I just have if you had to pick one Smile

What about Marley?

rebelrosie12 · 16/11/2018 18:37

Marnie

NeverHadANickname · 16/11/2018 18:37

Elsie

ijustwantasofa · 16/11/2018 18:37

Marnie for sure.
What about Marla instead of Miley? I love it and can't stand Miley.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 16/11/2018 18:36

Marnie

bumblebee39 · 16/11/2018 18:31

Elsie

Kissel · 16/11/2018 18:29

Miley is my dogs name so I associate it with her.

Cactus3 · 16/11/2018 18:28

Elsie

Wordie · 16/11/2018 18:27

Marnie xx

Pemba · 16/11/2018 18:26

Elissa I think, with Marnie a close second.

Miley and Elsie are dreadful. Miley you just think Cyrus. And it doesn't seem like a real name. Elsie has wrinkly stockings and lives in a care home.

daisypond · 16/11/2018 18:03

Elissa.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/11/2018 18:03

Marnie

sophiec123 · 16/11/2018 17:58

My daughter is Mila (meela) and if we were to have another daughter we already have said she will be called Marnie, good choice!

Normandy144 · 16/11/2018 17:54

Miley isn't a nice name imo. Elissa is nice but i prefer it spelt Alyssa.
I prefer Elise to Elsie which is a bit too old lady for me.

Sakura7 · 16/11/2018 17:51

Elissa. Also prefer Elise to Elsie

yikesanotherbooboo · 16/11/2018 17:48

Marnie
Second best is Elsie

OrdinarySnowflake · 16/11/2018 17:47

If I'm not too late, is go with Elsie, and as PP said, with Elizabeth on the birth certificate.

But, is there one name you'd really hoped would be the top of the list?

Cosmoa · 16/11/2018 17:42

I don't like Miley Cyrus but it is my favorite on your list. And Miley Cyrus got her name from being a smiley baby. She was originally names Destiny but her family nicknamed her Smiley Miley and it stuck. So I have always thought of it as a smiley name Smile

Cosmoa · 16/11/2018 17:40

@BettyBoo246 Go for Miley then! If Miley is a name you'd consider and you can decide, why not let your husband have the vote... Rather than loads of strangers who don't have any connection to your child. Mumsnet in general is a little close minded to be honest. I really wouldn't take your final say from a daft mumsnet poll. (no offense to you OP)

Creepyexgirlfriend · 16/11/2018 17:35

Miley Cyrus is what I think when I hear that.

Elsie is best. It’s short for Elizabeth/Elspeth, so there’s those as well.

GiGi18 · 16/11/2018 17:29

Marnie

Elizab3thh · 16/11/2018 17:14

Is it too late to say elsie?

BettyBoo246 · 16/11/2018 16:56

Wow poor Miley is really not rated then Grin
So 26 votes for Marnie, 19 for Elsie and 13 for Elissa. I’ve just told dh we’ll go for Marnie then, his response I like Miley best AngryConfused

Marnie, Elissa or Elsie are all lovely.

Agree also that Melissa or Elise are pretty variations.

seeingdots · 16/11/2018 16:51

Marnie
