We loved Edith for a little girl but close friends have recently used it. We've been thinking about Meredith instead - with either Edie or Meri as a nickname and I'd love to know what people think?

Yep, nice name, very underrated at the moment IMO.

I have a Meredith.... she is just a Meredith - I never regretted the choice!

Thank you everyone- you're making me feel much better about our original choice being off the table Smile

I prefer meredith. Edith is quite popular in my area but meredith isn't. Plus meri is very cute.

Love this name. Also love Merryn too.

Meredith Grey in Hrey's Anatomy is usually called Mer (rhyming with hair).

KeepCalm · 13/11/2018 22:41

Love it

I love Edith and Meredith (I know one who gets Merry as a nickname and it really suits her). I also love Judith, although I know it's quite a marmite name for a child - most people associate it with middle aged women!

Love it 😊
