Sylvia. Dd (age 17) has a friend with this name and it is lovely. Classic but rare/

MLP79 · 12/11/2018 14:07

Sylvie. Cute as a button.

daisypond · 12/11/2018 14:06

I think they're all fine, though I'm not keen on Sylvie - too fey.

Sophronia · 12/11/2018 14:04

Sylvia

statetrooperstacey · 12/11/2018 13:56

Love this name, any of them op .

sylviec · 12/11/2018 13:56

Sylvia as proper name and then I'd definitely call her Sylv/Sylvie as a nickname.

It's pretty when you look at the name objectively I think

Talith · 12/11/2018 13:55

Ooo I've been waiting for Sylvia to one back in. I love it! Shame I'm past any more babies now!

FogCutter · 12/11/2018 13:54

Sylvie.

Sylvia is just too granny for me and I read Silvia as sliver Blush

InProgress · 12/11/2018 13:51

My dyslexic brain read Silvia as sliver. For that reason alone I'd go with Sylvia or Sylvie.

anitagreen · 12/11/2018 13:48

It's my nans name and everyone calls her Sylv. I can't imagine a baby being called it it seems so old

insanitypack · 12/11/2018 13:41

Silvia is the Roman spelling and actually closer to the Latin from whence it came!
