It's nice. It was a runner up name for DD 26 years ago. (It was DHs choice... my choice won!)

I love Chester! I think its trendy and unique but can still suit a professional. Plus I was also a huge Linkin park fan as a teen. (RIP Chester Beddington :'( )

Does it need to have a nickname? 4 of my 5 are called by their full names by everyone, no one shortens their names. (Except me, who calls them all sorts of weird names!)

Lovely Saluki on Paul OGrady's Love of Dogs the other night called Chester! Yes!!

Holly Willoughby's son is also called Chester.

I personally am not a fan.

I've met dogs called Chester. I don't dislike it, but wouldn't use it for a human.

I also immediately thought of Chester Draws as pps have already mentioned.

I don't like all the surnames, place names and occupation names ending in er. Parker, Archer, Tyler, Cooper, Spencer, Hunter, Piper. To me Chester is very much a place name, not only the old cathedral city, but also within place names such as Manchester, Winchester, Cirencester etc.

I love it - had a boy at school called this - over 30 years ago. Never met anyone with this name since.

My friend's dog is called Chester so I can't hear it as a human name. (However, I have a son called Rufus, which I know would mean other people would have a similar experience to me!)

I was going to say Chester drawers-check ebay. But then you can do something silly with most names.

Or 'Chester draws' as in the misspelled item descriptions for furniture that are often on Ebay.

It's ok. There is a little boy at playgroup called Chester. I can never decide if it suits him or not though. He is just under 2

I'm not a huge fan but it's ok. I think Holly Willoughbys son is called Chester.
