@NutElla5x my dad is called Billy and he's 66. It makes me cringe!

Love William but not Billy, makes me think of EastEnders. Will on the other hand, lovely and would have been my daughters name if I'd had a boy. So, after all that waffle, Lewis is my favourite.

100% Billy as a shortening of William. Suits a little boy and a grown man and gives him options.

I really dislike Lewis, but am biased because of a particularly unpleasant one I went to school with....

I find Billy very cutesy and a little silly as in 'Silly Billy'.

Lewis is much more manly and solid.

Outnumbered by far but I much prefer Billy, I find Lewis a bit of a wet name. I appreciate that's just my own opinion though.

Billy is fine for a 4 year old, not an adult. Lewis is the only decent option here.
I had better talk my fella into getting a name change at once then!

Okay change of vote, if you put William on the BC then it is a perfectly sensible option.

Well yes, William would be on the BC but he would be a Billy Grin ty! Seems Lewis is the clear winner

Lewis, agree that Billy is a nickname. But it’s perfectly nice and acceptable if you go with William on BC. He can be Bill when he’s older.
