Isaac

hulabaloo · 06/11/2018 21:55

sorry for double post Blush

hulabaloo · 06/11/2018 21:55

Love Quentin! I'm not so keen on Issac.

hulabaloo · 06/11/2018 21:54

Quentin. Not keen on Issac.

Pebblesandfriends · 06/11/2018 21:54

Quentin ( been reading a lot of famous five!)

sunflower321 · 06/11/2018 21:52

I also think names change they way they are perceived, as many people on here felt that Sebastian was 'pompous' and it has now become very popular/mainstream. There's a book called Freakonomics that explains this trend very well.

sunflower321 · 06/11/2018 21:51

Quentin is becoming more popular. I know a couple of little ones. None of them are 'pompous' - they're very cute! I like it and prefer it to Isaac.

PippilottaLongstocking · 06/11/2018 21:49

Isaac

Richlyfruited · 06/11/2018 21:49

Isaac is popular but rightly so as it's a very nice name!

Sorry but I find Quentin a bit pompous - Racecardriver has it spot on Wink

It could also mean the 5th addition to the family, or the one born in the 5th Month, or it could just be used because its a great name! Lots of names have meanings, but most people don't care (e.g. to harry means to harass, Cecilia means blind, Claudia lame etc...) In other words, I wouldn't worry too much about a name's meaning!

buckingfrolicks · 06/11/2018 21:42

Quentin is normally the fifth child (it means 5). Just saying.

Applepiecake · 06/11/2018 21:41

I much prefer Quentin.

Hubabubba · 06/11/2018 21:35

But Cosima is quite nice Smile

Hubabubba · 06/11/2018 21:35

Our Quentin has a brother called Reuben. I don't really like Tarquin.

Racecardriver · 06/11/2018 21:10

I like both. Issac is a bit mainstream I suppose but that may be a good thing because it’s quite ambiguous. Whereas Quentin probably has a brother called Tarquin, a sister called Cosima and, his best mate is called Hugo

CherryValance · 06/11/2018 21:01

Isaac

DramaAlpaca · 06/11/2018 20:59

Quentin

Eleanor90 · 06/11/2018 20:58

Isaac. Not keen on Quentin, sorry.

Hubabubba · 06/11/2018 19:17

We have a Quentin, so I'm biased. We've had a great response to it.

Isaac is nice too.

KnickerBockerGlooooory · 06/11/2018 19:15

Makes me think of 'don't be a Quentin, Quentin ' ... cannot remember what that's from. Must find my friend google.

But could be shortened to Q, which is quite cool.

kenandbarbie · 06/11/2018 19:15

Issac by a mile. Quentin is awful.

Another2day · 06/11/2018 19:09

Quentin is great and you can always shorten to Quinn.

Winterwonder123 · 06/11/2018 19:04

I like them both but prefer Quentin.

gummibaer · 06/11/2018 19:00

I prefer Quentin!
