Running out of time boy names

I've found it so difficult to choose a male name, nothing grabs me. We like fairly traditional names but not too popular. Middle name preferably George (family link) which is a bit too popular as a first name for me. DH doesn't have many strong opinions on it, if I really like something he'll be fine.

I don't mind Jude or Jasper but neither go with George and DH says Jasper is pretentious but suggested Julian as an alternative?! (Which I hate).

I did like Dexter, but not sure if too American, not sure we'll ever see a prime minister Dexter etc. I don't like really out there names, apple, sailor, meadow etc and it's important it works for an adult not just a child.

Surname is hyphenated F-S (both two syllables) , so not sure we could use an F name (FFS) , I almost wish I hadn't kept my surname as I quite like it as a first name (Fraser) .

Girl name I'd picked before 20wk scan (Tabitha) if that helps. I've got less than six weeks to go...

Help!

Is your surname now double-barrelled? Does the baby have to have a double-barrelled surname?
If you are Jane Fraser and your DH John Surname could the baby be Fraser George Surname?

AtticaRose · 04/11/2018 13:47

Oh, and Bennet.

AtticaRose · 04/11/2018 13:45

Haha, that's what you get with "traditional" names I guess!

I'll keep going, why not :-)

I do like Felix but FFS I just don't know if I could do it! Also same concerns as Dexter, too faddy/American?
Some of the names suggested are fine, but none really make me think yes that's it! What is it about boy names?

@moredoll I don't mind Sebastian, Seb as a NN

I also like Seth but live in Essex so it would end up being Seff to lots of people which would drive me insane

@arwenearlythereyet not really, if I really loved Jasper or Jude I'd just pick a different middle name, but they are just ok to me.

How about...
