Anneliese vs Anastasia

We’re looking for a long name for Annie.
I don’t like Annabel, as it’s a bit little-girly, and I find both Anne/Anna slightly boring.

We’ve narrowed it down to Anneliese or Anastasia.

I prefer the former, dh the latter, and we’ve reached an impasse. Any opinions?

They were the names my mum had picked for me she chose Annalise I personally like it spelt this way as thats how it is pronounced An na lise am biased though and been used to it for 28 years

Should say, nobody has ever had any difficulty with Anneliese is pronounced - it's not that unusual a name I don't think?

Isn't the female character in 50 Shades of Grey called Anastasia?

I prefer Anneliese, I knew a lovely one about 25 years ago.

Anastasia. I like it more, and you're not likely to have spelling issues with it.
You'll get spelling and pronunciation issues with Anneliese - like Anna Leeza or Anna Lees. Analeise would be said as Analyse Her, so I wouldn't go with that.

Anneliese. I have one. We do get a few funky spellings but people get used to it in no time. Most common mistake is Annalise, rarely we get the ie the wring way round, and once we've had Analyse but I think that might have been autocorrect :-)

I'd pick whichever flows best with the surname.

Both gorgeous but forced to choose
and by a fraction I'd go with Anastasia. I know you're going yo use Annie as her nn but I think just generally speaking the nns are better
for Anastasia. (Tasia, Tassie, Sia, )

I love both but Anastasia would have it for me. I also prefer the spelling 'Analeise'
