We like Phoebe, but know a couple already. Like the "F" sound though.

I would have it pronounced

FEL OWN EE

with the emphasis on the middle syllable?

Oh, and Elodie?

RatUnholyRolyPoly · 30/10/2018 15:12

NO to felony.

RatUnholyRolyPoly · 30/10/2018 15:12

Ehlani? Elenni? Frejdis/Freydis?

dontalltalkatonce · 30/10/2018 15:11

How about Phemale and you call her 'fee-molly'? Or L-a?

pippa999 · 30/10/2018 15:10

OMG. You're kidding right ??? Grin

What about spud-u-like? Or Frogmella?

Beamur · 30/10/2018 15:09

Please don't.

BarbaraofSevillle · 30/10/2018 15:09

Fiamma

Apologies if that is a real name and I have no idea if you were being serious, but that is a brand of accessories for camper vans (awnings, bike racks etc).

it might be a name in other countries, but unless you live there or have the appropriate heritage, it's probably not the best choice.

5000FingersofDrT · 30/10/2018 15:08

I genuinely LOLed at Phalonz

Is this in tribute to Phelan from Coronation Street, OP?

QuimReaper · 30/10/2018 15:08

Phucking hell

Avegemitesandwich · 30/10/2018 15:08

Phelonie is phucking awful!

GlasgowWorrier · 30/10/2018 15:06

Er, that legit website says that there were no Phelonies in nearly 6 million US registrations. It also offers a past life reading for an imaginary Phelonie born on April 3, 2005 and suggests that other 'names' internet randos were searching for include Mailto, Olatide and Odeida.

Name snobbery aside, it doesn't change the fact that Phelonie will be pronounced as Felony!

Phyllida? Phillippa? Phyllis?

steppemum · 30/10/2018 15:05

Phelonie = felony
Phelan = felon

sorry, can't get past that.

LethalWhite · 30/10/2018 15:03

hahahhahahahhahahahhaha

As in felony?!?!

hahahhahahahahahahhaha

Workreturner · 30/10/2018 15:00

I see the name and I think “phlegm” i am afraid

user34903583908 · 30/10/2018 14:59

We like the "Ph" or "F" sound as our surname begins "F" and we just like the sound of it together. That's why we looked at Phoebe originally, but knowing two already, we don't want to be accused of pinching names, you know? I like the "sound" of Melodie too and then came to Phelonie that way. DH likes it!

Phrances?

Babymamamama · 30/10/2018 14:55

Is this Pherreal?

riotlady · 30/10/2018 14:52

OP that real name site also lists “Annomynous” as a name Hmm

TatianaLarina · 30/10/2018 14:51

Feelin or Faylan?

(I don’t think either is great for a girl).

user34903583908 · 30/10/2018 14:51

Thanks for all the other suggestions. F-ood(!) for thought.

user34903583908 · 30/10/2018 14:51

Phelan is neutral on this site also.

I’ve seen Phaedra mentioned a couple of times but it’s really not a name with a good story.

Hogtini · 30/10/2018 14:50

Phrancesca? Phanny? Phaith? Phrogmella?

Darkbaptism · 30/10/2018 14:50

Philandera
