Phelonie for a little girl?

We like Phoebe, but know a couple already. Like the "F" sound though.

You're right phucit as my pronounciation would not be what most people would do. Hmm. PHOOD for thought here!

I think I'll draw up a list of PH/F names leaving Phelonie (sigh - sounds so pretty to my ear) out and take if from there.

I think most are familiar with it. Maybe you could ask others here and get a general idea? I also think Percy/ ie is a nice shortening.

Fotoula (Φωτούλα) not Fatoula. Fotoula is a diminutive of Fotini (Φωτεινή) which means brilliant, bright usually. It could be a diminutive of Theofano though (Θεοφανώ) altough this is an extremely rare name.

Another site mentioned the Phelonie name is a WOW character too, apparently. Again, I know sod all about video games.

It's horrifically bad.
Like passed around as an urban legend -'I know of a kid called, wait for it, Phelonie, like Felony with a PH cue hysterical laughter' - bad.

True, true. Though I know something about one of the most popular names at the moment. I suspect it's kind of niche though. I mentioned it once and no-one knew what I was on about. Best kept that way, most likely Grin

Obviously, if the consensus is a bit PHAT NO, I will go with that.

I've been given some super alternatives here, so thanks for that.

If DH and I can't agree, we may have to give up on the F/PH altogether.

Thank God I have three months to get on with this.
