Phelonie for a little girl?

We like Phoebe, but know a couple already. Like the "F" sound though.

Phelonie = Felony i.e. crime. You pronouncing it differently doesn’t change that. It’s absolutely awful.

Phelan = boys’ name and serial killer from coronation street

Philomena = ok

If you’re determined to get some alliteration into her name, look more deeply at names with a ‘ph/f’ phonic in the 2nd syllable?

Ophelia has been suggested but there are lots more. I quite like Euphemia (nickname = Mia?) which has a great story, and some nice churches named after her! Pronounced ‘U-feem-ya’ in English and ‘Oo-fem-ia’ in many euro languages.

It’s a bit out there, but that doesn’t seem to be an obstacle for you! PLEASE don’t go with Phelonie for your baby girl. Just buy a goldfish, if you love it that much.

Phoebe is an absolutely beautiful name , if you like it it shouldn't matter if you know another Phoebe.
