Think it's down to these 2 for girls. Which do you prefer and why?

Greta. Beautiful name.

Juancornetto · 31/10/2018 08:14

Greta. DD would have been a Greta if DH hadn't vetoed it Angry

MikeUniformMike · 31/10/2018 08:13

Greta, short for Margaret.

RedDwarves · 31/10/2018 08:11

I love Greta.

Not fussed on Nora(h).

firawla · 30/10/2018 23:07

Norah! Greta sounds much harsher, Norah is lovely

BewareOfDragons · 30/10/2018 23:05

Although Greta is nice, I prefer Nora (but without the 'h').

MaruMaru · 30/10/2018 22:58

Don't like either but Greta is slightly better (!)

Sophronia · 30/10/2018 22:47

Greta

ButterflyOfFreedom · 30/10/2018 22:35

Greta

sleepymouse · 30/10/2018 22:04

Norah, Greta sounds a bit harsh to my ears, plus I knew a beautiful soul called Norah many years ago

Namechangemum100 · 30/10/2018 20:35

I love both but I think Greta is the stand out name.

MarshaBradyo · 30/10/2018 20:26

Greta for sure, then again I really dislike Norah so most would be better

ChiantiAndTruffles · 30/10/2018 20:25

Norah! Know some lovely ones and one old busybody Greta

TempsPerdu · 30/10/2018 20:12

Definitely Greta! Although I’m massively biased as I have a very lovely 10-month-old one. We’ve had so many compliments on her name and are so glad we picked it from our ridiculously long ‘shortlist’!

DC2018 · 30/10/2018 19:20

I like Norah much better

ChaosMoon · 30/10/2018 18:11

I have just discovered that I love Greta. It's beautiful and strong and cool, and Norah is nice, but it's not Greta.

TheLastMermaid · 30/10/2018 17:11

Greta. Love it.

Norah makes me think of Norah Jones, singer. Nice enough but a bit boring.

userabcname · 30/10/2018 17:09

Norah

deptfordgirl · 30/10/2018 17:07

Norah

DamnWhyAreAllTheUsernamesTaken · 30/10/2018 17:04

Norah!

daisypond · 30/10/2018 17:02

I'm really not keen on either. Probably Greta. It has some oomph about it. But it feels like a "pretend we're an Austrian milkmaid" name to me, a bit fake. Nora/Norah is just very dull and then there's "flaming Nora, etc".

DramaAlpaca · 30/10/2018 16:53

Greta, but only because it's slightly less horrible than Norah.

Sorry.

Flamingosnbears · 30/10/2018 16:13

Greta by miles and miles and miles...

17caterpillars1mouse · 30/10/2018 16:08

Love both. I don't think you can go wrong with either. If I had to choose I think I'd go with Greta

Shadow1234 · 30/10/2018 15:36

I prefer Norah. Greta has that harsh sound to me, same as Gretchen!
