Isaac

I have a beautiful baby boy and he still has no name.

We like Isaac... I'm worried it's not a strong enough name (always wanted a strong name) and that it's maybe too popular?

Thoughts?

I like it a lot.

However be warned that people will constantly misspell it as ‘Issac’. Whether as typo or misspelling, two posters have done it already on this thread. This may not bother you!

JheronimusBosch · 30/10/2018 13:03

It's one of my favourite names. I think it's strong and classic. Newton, Hayes, Asimov, loads of good examples of famous Isaacs.

sadsadsady · 30/10/2018 13:00

I know 3 Issacs and they're all really strong people.

I think it's more popular in America, I don't know any in the UK.

ogglet · 30/10/2018 12:59

It's a lovely name and not too common!
Go for it OP

I'm not a fan of Zac. I know a Zebadiah and bloody love that thought!

KrakillBee · 30/10/2018 12:54

Oh no the Zac nn is what puts me off! I'm not a fan of Zac at all...

I like Zachary

I love it but I am biased because mine is five months old and obviously I think he is perfect with a perfect name!

I’m not sure about it being a strong name but it means laughter which I though was lovely. And I haven’t met anyone else who has an Isaac I didn’t realise it was popular? I picked to because I thought it was unusual! Maybe I am wrong!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 30/10/2018 12:51

I like Isaac! Nn Zac.

sadsadsady · 30/10/2018 12:50

I like Issac. Another similar name I like is Isaiah. Not so common in the UK.

AtticaRose · 30/10/2018 12:48

I think it's great! Lovely strong name.

Another2day · 30/10/2018 12:44

I've heard one teased with I suck so I'm not sure if I'd use it tbh.

Congrats btw!

SuperstarDJ · 30/10/2018 12:38

I agree tbh. It’s a perfectly nice name - inoffensive, but also a bit bland, boring & overused in my opinion. I wouldn’t associate it as being a ‘strong name’ but then I don’t think it’s a ‘weak’ name either, it’s just a bit blah.

What other names have you liked?

Congrats on your new baby boy Smile
