What name would you never use? There has to be a good reason! Ie school enemies/murderers/funny connotations!

What name would you never use for your child?
It could be that there are connotations or reminders of others.

I went to school with an Adolfo. Even now, I think it's a very strange name choice in light of Hitler.

Couldn't have an Ivan in Australia.

I think naming your child after any political figure is a bad idea. Something ubiquitous like Margaret is fine, but Reagan or Whitlam or Thatcher is a heavy burden, regardless of your political leanings.

Dale, as a teacher I had a real horror, some unpleasant Lee’s too.
Girls I can’t think of any real bugbears beyond Myra even though I had a dear friend with that name it will be forever Hindley to me.

Hannah made my life at secondary school almost unbearable and Natasha once hit me with a hockey stick. I also would never use the name Grant as I had a truly awful, lecherous, arrogant boss with that name many years ago.

I know both a Fanny and a Willy both very pleasant older ppl. Alana was my bully in primary school so I wouldn’t touch the name but as others have said, shame as these names are often pretty!

Partly because some people use it to describe their lady parts and it's the coins everyone ends up left with Too many of and feeding into the change machine and I hate the smell of coppers.

Also TBBT character has taken it forever

Equally a noonie, Fanny, willy etc.

Adolph, Attila, and any other unusual names belonging to mass killers. Joseph (Stalin) is fine tho, as it's so popular anyway.

A Sylvia and an Ariana were vile to a member of my family. Shame, as I love both names.

I've only known one Estelle. She was in my year at school and she wasn't particularly nice to me. But maybe if i met a nice Estelle, I could get past that. It is a lovely name.
