My son will be born in February and my surname begins with an R. I like Rufus, Hector and Benedict for different reasons. What do you think?

Benedict as it can be shortened to Ben which I love.
Really don’t like Hector and I always personally think of Rufus as a dog’s name as my grandparent’s one was called that and so was my best friend’s

Polkasq · 22/10/2018 08:30

I like Rufus best, then Benedict.

n0ne · 22/10/2018 07:37

Great picks! Rufus and Hector were on my boy list. I love alliteration so go with Rufus.

AJPTaylor · 22/10/2018 06:29

Love Rufus

TatianaLarina · 21/10/2018 19:20

Hector hands down.

Benedict is a bit pompous and Ben is really boring.

muchalover · 21/10/2018 19:19

Hector. My daughter had Hector on her list for her baby. Love it.

Elmo303 · 21/10/2018 19:17

Hector. So cool

Rebecca36 · 21/10/2018 17:58

I like all of them. Benedict is my favourite.

Fifthtimelucky · 21/10/2018 17:54

Rufus only if he has red hair.

I thought it did too but I looked it up Hector was actually was the best fighter in Troy but he was fair and noble and a good son, husband and father! I live in Greece at the moment so I like that connection

Benedict.

IzzyGrey · 21/10/2018 16:52

Rufus is amazing! Hector is cool but I think it has a negative meaning (I remember the meaning put me off when I considered the name but can't remember why). Benedict is alright but I don't love it.

MollyHuaCha · 21/10/2018 16:30

Benedict

PippilottaLongstocking · 21/10/2018 16:25

Rufus is my favourite, Hector is nice too, the only Benedict I’ve known was a terrible person so I just can’t like the name.

Peachbubble · 21/10/2018 16:23

Rufus or Hector. Not keen on Benedict.

Escolar · 21/10/2018 16:23

Rufus

BertramKibbler · 21/10/2018 12:55

At least Benedict can be shortened to Ben

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/10/2018 12:52
