What does everyone think? I'm pretty set and love it too bits for son but just wondering what general thoughts are? I don't think it's something that can be made fun of etc, apart from the obvious 'hey jude' but that's not a bad thing!

I love it!! I thought of Jude Law before the beatles

Mayhemmumma · 18/10/2018 13:47

It's a cool name. The song is awful mind

Buglife · 18/10/2018 13:43

I love Jude, so much is my second sons name! Majority of people love it and it gets remarked on as a lovely name by a lot of people who hear it. We like singing Hey jude to him now while he’s a baby!

NorthEndGal · 18/10/2018 13:43

A person I know has a son named Jude. When he was baby, being bathed, his older sisters sang
Hey Jude, I saw you nude
Don't try to fake it, I saw you naked
Grin
They are all grown now, no long term ill effects, and he suits the name Jude well.

L0kiWh0 · 18/10/2018 13:42

It’s ok, but I can’t get past it being German for ‘Jew’

When I visited Poland there was lots of graffiti everywhere saying ‘Anty Jude’ so it has bad connotations for me

VioletCharlotte · 18/10/2018 13:39

I really like it for a boy.

moredoll · 18/10/2018 13:38

I love Jude. It's one of my favourite boys' names. Cool without being too try hard.
I know one Jude in his late 20s who plays in a band. I haven't heard it for babies or young children at all irl, but I do see it a lot on the baby name lists on here. I'm in inner London.
If I associate it with anyone it's Jude Law.

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/10/2018 13:38

Apart from the fact that Noah is top 5 and Jude is 50th.

Sexnotgender · 18/10/2018 13:35

It’s a bit blah, wet and overdone like Noah.

Flamingosnbears · 18/10/2018 13:35

Great strong name nothing wrong with the Beatles song also that's your lullaby sorted for LO arrival! Wink

rainbowstardrops · 18/10/2018 13:34

I love it.
If I was young enough to still have children, it would definitely be top of my list.

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/10/2018 13:32

Current climate?Confused

Rebecca36 · 18/10/2018 13:29

Quite nice but somewhat 'Obscure'.
Still he could be given the nickname, "Judith", which in the current climate, would be appropriate.

avocadosrus · 18/10/2018 12:49

It's my DS name he's now 14 and he loves it and I love it. He's never ever been called "Judy" the only thing he has ever had is dude!

SputnikBear · 18/10/2018 12:39

My neighbour named his kid that. He’s one of those weird middle aged people who still have a 90s BritPop hairstyle and dress like Oasis even though it was 20 years ago.

daisypond · 18/10/2018 12:36

I really like it.

Livpool · 18/10/2018 12:03

I love it!

AlliKaneErikson · 18/10/2018 11:29

I knew a really cool Jude in college and have loved the name since. I think it’s a great choice.

RavenWings · 18/10/2018 11:09

It's one of my pet hates name wise, tbqh. I think the sound is horrible.

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/10/2018 11:00

It’s my son’s name.
Never been called ‘Judy’
Ranked 50th in charts so not overly popular.
St Jude is a lovely namesake imo-it’s who you turn to when you feel all hope is lost, and he provides you with the strength to carry on. In my eyes-that’s one hero of a saintWink
Also, Hey Jude is a great song.
I’m not biased at all-obviouslyGrin

IzzyGrey · 18/10/2018 10:46

Hey Jude is a great song and Jude is a great name!

deptfordgirl · 18/10/2018 10:41

I like it and wanted it for ds. It is very common around here though.

KeysHairbandNotepad · 18/10/2018 10:08

It's lovely.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 18/10/2018 10:07

I love Jude but DH was really against it.

EssentialHummus · 18/10/2018 10:03

I like it. He may get "Judy" btw.
